The Ordeal !

After the ordeal, someone told me, "Anything that doesn't kill you will only make you stronger". I wanted to tell him, "Sir, you forget, we all die in bits and pieces". What is left is a ghost of a man, shrouded in darkness, shoulders slumped, stumbling along the streets. Then, suddenly, he stops, his eyes coming to rest on something on the ground in front of him. For a moment, his eyes are filled with the light of hope and excitement. Then, as suddenly, it departs, fading away into the void of nothingness. And he continues to walk...........
